The Ransomware is a particular type of malicious code (malware) that implies a ransom demand. This program in fact “encrypts” all the data in a computer, making it inaccessible without an access key. Once the data has been encrypted and then made unusable, the attacker proceeds with a request for money to provide precisely the key that will allow access to the data again. Primary defenses against this particular type of malware include anti-virus and data saving policies in an area outside the infected computer.
